hello fellow Z drivers. Havent been on for a while now, but glad to be back. I went to LA this past weekend and left my car at home. I started up my car today and heard this ticking noise. I had a few problems before, but this was the first when it comes to ticking noises. I bugged the crap out of me. Any ideas of what it could be? I checked other previous posts and came up with the "lifter tick." Can someone run me through what this is and how it could be fixed. Thanks a lot.

Random question: I want to change the oil in my car. I have been putting Mobile 1 Fully Synthetic 10-40 oil. My Z32 has a little over 186k miles on it. Any other suggestions besides mobile 1? Thanks again

Lifters get air bubbles in them over time, only way to fix it is take them out and "rebuild" them, not fun, hopefully that's your problem and not something worse like a bearing.
