"Different" Hatchback Conversion
I found these pics one day while I was surfing the web and just wanted to know what other Z enthusiast thought of them. At first I had considered doing the conversion to my Z but while I was looking at the pics, it made the 300ZX look even smaller than it already is so decided against it.

that's the Strosek kit.
Im not particularly fond of it. It's definitely different. Seems to me that you'd lose more of the preciously small cargo space that is already lacking in the Z.

The conversion is a poor attempt at trying to make the Z look like a Ferrari 355. I don't like it. I really don't like the taillights at all. IMO, the JDM taillights and the '94-'96 factory wings look best on the Z32.
They tried too hard to make it different...

Actually... Im going to go out on a limb and say that I like the conversion... With some '99 Fairlady lights, and that lid. I think it would look real good.
In my opinion of course.
What website carries that conversion?

That hatchback is only available for 2+2 models. And judging by the first pic, it fits terribly (I could be wrong, but it's just the way I looked at it). It is Strosek but is available through several companies. It runs a pretty penny ($1650 + shipping), but it's very unique. All-in-all I would get it if I had money to burn, but otherwise would save my money for something else.
BTW - Just remembered, screw that hatch. Ionic Dynamics is developing a completely carbon fiber hatch with policarbonate rear glass. No pics yet, still in R&D.

EDIT: I guess I was wrong - there is a hatchback available for the 2+0. In the 2nd image originally posted the fuel door is ahead of the wheelwell.
DOUBLE EDIT: Upon closer inspection, it's a RHD car. That would put the fuel door on the right hand side, correct? In this case it might still be a 2+2. I'm confusing myself...
