cold start up idle problems z32

this is my first post on the forum, hope you can work out the problem i have.

when i start the car cold after sitting over night, it will be rough and i can feel the bad vibrations through the car.

after 2minutes or so it will even out and idle ok 800 rpm. when it warms up it will run fine, even when i restart the car when warmed up, and does not give me any problems when driving. any suggestion guys. drive hard drive safe.many thanks zed head.

in the mean time if its not a ecu problem, is there any other advice on other possible reasons that my problem is happening. thanks again zed head.

You don't need to take it to an electronics guy, it's 7, 10mm screws and all you need to do is go key forward, turn the screw to the right until it stops, wait 2-5 seconds and turn it to the left and get the numbers. the long blinks are the first digit, the short blinks are the second digit. It's that simple.

And the ECU codes don't tell you if it's an "ECU problem," it can usually tell you what system the problem is with by reporting sensor problems.

i stand corrected re ecu

yes you are correct in what you are saying regards the ecu. my mistake z lover for life. i thought about what i posted, was going to change my error but to late. i guessed some one would correct me. the ecu as a whole is not the problem but what it can reveal. cheers zed head.

Did you even bother to look at zlovers link? four screws to take the wood cover off, three holding the ECU in place and then you will see that adjustment screw with a little oval cut in the side of the ECU's case with a red LED inside that will blink.

what year's your car? i had this problem from time to time with old style injectors. i suspected that it was a "sticking" injector, that took just a little bit of time and persuasion to get going. this is not a confirmed diagnosis though.

what i do know, is that when i switched to new style injectors, the issue stopped.

He's talking about the lack of reading comprehension and the overall ___________ responses. I want to fill in "___________" with words but I don't want to offend such a seemingly polite n00b.
