Hey, all I am no by no means a car guy and am just looking for some friendly guidance with this mess! Please delete if not allowed.
I just replaced my 1994 Nissan 300zx's alternator and battery, but the battery still doesn't get charged when driving/idle. before this became an issue, my horn got stuck in the on position and we couldn't do anything to stop it but to take the horn itself out and pull the fuse. about a week after that, I was driving, then my emergency lights came on and wouldn't turn off, no matter what I did. I was at work with no tools, so I had to let it sit there and drain my battery. I got jumped off, drove it home and let it sit in the garage for 2 weeks, then got it a new battery, and it drained it within a day jut by sitting. I got a new alternator and another battery and tried driving with them installed but had no positive/ gaining voltage... now I don't know what to do, the car is sitting in my garage with yet another dead battery and a brand-new alternator.
NOTE: When I do have enough voltage to start the car it runs great and has no lights on, it just slowly dies till the battery runs out of voltage.
