Adventures in Z disassembly...Part 1

Well I finally have a chance to sit down and give my Z the attention she deserves. First on the list is to undo the crap the previous owner did to her. I will admit I was surprised that the damage was less than I thought, but I figured I would share with you all my findings.

1.
Is this an OEM piece?!

2.
This could have been very nasty.

3.
Crap!! No wonder I had no sound from that side

4.
Jackpot!!! $2.38 Cold hard cash!

5.
What do you think this wiring is for? The previous owner cut all kinds of wires he originally put in. It seems to be connected to the keyless entry module, any ideas?

That's all for now, keep an eye out for part 2, where I go under the hood!

I have to admit, the first time I pulled up the passenger side carpet and saw that damned piece of WOOD i thought "WTF?... What ghetto-*** POS put this in here?"

I later learned of course that it was wood from the factory. Still not sure why they did that though.

But, that car is just a memory now. Still looking for the right Z32TT... When I find it, you'll all see it first.

Rod.

If that's the keyless entry module i'mma take a wild guess and say portable capaccunio machine.

no? don't believe me?
well, me either. it's got car alarm written all over it. Just follow those wires back to wherever they go n remove'em. I'm sure they all run to where the car alarm brain was mounted.

Thats the thing, this guy snipped all the wires, so you see little ends of wire peeking out all over the car. I assumed it had something to do with the alarmm but the other end of it was just dangeling underneath the steering column.
