300zx NA to TT
300zx NA to TT
I got a NA 5 speed and I put a twin turbo motor in it. I'm wanting to check compression and oil pressure and all that good stuff before I waste money on the car. I have the motor in the car and I have it all hooked up for the most part I think... All the gauges and lights work. It turns over but I'm not getting any power to my ignition coils. Any suggestions on how I can fix this?
The wire harness that runs from behind passenger headlight back to manual transmission has 1 plug that goes into the alternator and two ground plugs that go to the alternator. I know one ground goes to the back of the alternator, but where does the other one mount? It is really small and most of the bolts wont even fit through it to ground it to the body and it very short so it has to be close to the alternator.
Last question for the night... What is the difference between the NA EFI and TT EFI harnesses and is there any way around buying a TT EFI harness for my swap?

Do yourself a favor, buy a TT front clip. I got a 300ZXTT that someone did the N/A to TT swap in and they cut so many corners it actually ended up blowing the motor and a turbo.
Anyways is your PTU hooked up and not fried and it is the late model PTU. if thats good make sure to check ALL your fuses, and dont forget to check your relays as well.
And there isn't 2 grounds on the alt, one is a + and one is a ground. other then that I'm not sure what your talking about
Depends on the year difference really. If you swapped with the same year I think you just wont have the boost control valve connectors on the harness. But I'd say better safe then sorry.
