How does eveyone feel about lambo door on 300zx? I just brought a kit for my 300zx

 

now this is just my opinion, but BAAAAAARRRRFFFFF. but hey, you asked. it's youre car though, so do what you want.

 

they're called "Lamborghini Doors" because they belong on a Lamborghini... 300ZX doors belong on a 300ZX, and guess what..... you already have 300ZX doors on your 300ZX! Yahtzee!!!

In a way...dont ever consider asking certain opinion questions here or on any forum. Especially when it comes to body modifications.

As for the Lambo door kits..I like them. The only thing I wish was that they would go straight up. And NOT lean outwards when up right. I dont like the looks of the hondas and other cars when they have the doors making a big V. I prefer the U. I like the true vertical look of the lamborghini's doors.

The price is insane too. So i ll stick with stock.

 

you're absolutely right... but how's he going to feel about his car when he does the things he likes to it and then gets ripped on for doing it? When he becomes a joke to the Z32 community because he's the guy with the riced out Z, he's going to hate what he did to it. Trust me, he'll be glad he asked in the long run, because people grow out of mods like that.

If anything else....even if he does do the Lambo door conversion. And you guys dont like it. His car will "HOPEFULLY" never reach the all time low that ZERRARI or the primered widebody POS has. DAMN I HATE those two Zs.

DONT DO IT MAN! It is a pointless mod, even adds weight, and most car enthusiasts think it is just a ricey ripoff lambo conversion (which it is)....You want to be cool, look cool, have respect? Spend that money to make your car faster, or sound better with an audio system or something, but I fail to see the point of wasting it on another trendy/worthless mod that will only cost you a lot of money, won't do anything beneficial to your car, and will get you laughed at by the Z community (a long with a lot of other types of drivers).

Well, it's your decision, but the views expressed here actually do represent the views a large percentage of the community, and the numbers are pretty much the same with all other automotive communities. I'm just trying to help you come to your senses....hope your not offended.

Alright..if every one is so ANIT LAMBO DOORS..when are you guys goin to start running around together with burning torches and pitch forks threatening the person who created this site to remove that "blasphemous" picture of the 350Z with the lambo doors on it at the entrance of the site?

 

First off, It's only a 350Z... So who cares? Second, someone asked what everyone thought of the Lambo doors and he got some honest answers. I don't see why all of a sudden it's a big deal. If you don't want to hear opinions then you probably shouldn't ask for them... Ya know? I don't "hate" Lambo doors, I just think they don't really serve any purpose other than the novelty aspect. Coupled with the fact that it has become a very "Ricey" mod, it just drops the affected Z car into the lowest common denominator of import car modification and upgrade trendiness. I personally don't have any interest in following trends, especially when every '89 civic hatchback owning 16 year old kid is spending mommy and daddy's hard earned money on the same mod. It was cool when it was rare. It just isn't cool anymore as far as I'm concerened. But, if they make you happy, go for it. Nobody's going to stop you. They just may have an unflattering opinion of you and your car afterwards. So be it. I've had a few people give me grief because I didn't leave my 280ZX bone stock when I restored it. Screw them, it's not their car and I didn't ask them what they thought. ... ... ... ... ... Rod.

the only body moodsd that should be spent on a Z is returning it to what it shouold look like, aka goin JDM and or any damaga or blemeeshes, lambo doors araent gonna hide dent or a rust spot but a clean car wwill always draw jjust as much attention and respect if not then alot more than that guy down th street with the full body kit adn lambo doors.

oh yeah and especially if its JDM lol

People have different conceptions of the defintion of rice. What I consider rice is a car with a lot of body mods and a loud fart cannon. I say a car isn't ricey if it can go fast and back up it's "i spent alot of money on my car and it goes fast" look. Take the movie "the fast and the furious" for example. People say "damn I hate that movie because all the cars are ricey." I say they aren't ricey because they go faster than me (Granted the movie is a little unrealistic and the cars don't actually go as fast as they look but still, assuming that it was completely realistic and the cars went as fast as they were made out to look.) Now, if he has lambo doors and runs 16's, ricer. But if he has lambo doors and runs 10's or 11's. Well I say you have the right to sport your lambo doors.

On my opinion of lambo doors, it depends on how good the job is. I've seen 1 350z with lambo door kit where they flopped around in the wind and weren't sturdy at all and just sucked *****.
I don't know the quality of this kit, but I do like the way this Z32 looks although I don't know how fast it goes, so I can't deem it "rice" or not. And they go reasonbly straight up.

 

that hood scoop with no holes in it makes that car rice. and the rest of it is pretty awful too imo. and you have to wonder how much those rims weigh, and more weight wont help those quarter times.

 

I thought we were talking about lambo doors? And I believe the hood scoop opens up on the backside, but i'm not positive, it's hard to tell from one of the pics i have.

 

doesn't the lime green paint job automatically make it rice?

 

haha, i thought it was darker green...... and green just happens to be my fav. color.
