1/8 mile dragging

Got to go out for the first time. I didn't get to race my car (it's hesitating) but the two guys in my club did get to run. We ended up being the show of the night. One of the guys got the best ET. If any of you haven't gone...go, it's a good time. it's fun to trash on some pretty bad cars. We have a race set up with a porche TT...should be interesting. Charles (best ET guy) has been turning times better than him. There's a lot of cool things that went on tongiht...good times. Go to a track and have a fun night...seriously, go try it!

man i went a few times....all i saw were civics and mustangs, few accords and integras, couple of camaros and then a whole bunch of mustangs 5.0 just modiified to the extreme, this town is pretty wealthy but i didn't see a porshe or anything on the track....tracks here are pretty rednecky....no offense to anyone, so rich ppl get scared and stuff. there are a few uva students with modified M3's and 911's but they are all just straight out ********, they don't know **** about their cars, they just take it to this shop for bmw's and porshe's and look through a cataloge, and point like 2 year olds "i want this...can i get it in blue?"

Yea, I saw a brand new m3 get eaten by a lowly civic. Granted the civic had a turbo and nitrous...but it got eaten.

but no matter what you do to a civic it's still a civic. i would much rather have a classy car like an m3, but i gotta admit that sucks that he got his a$$ handed to him by a civic

Yea, it seemed that last night...no matter what was done to the civic, they stilll weren't all that fast. Charles raced a turbo del sol with a type r motor and slicks and still murdered it.

nothing like a tt power, see there are not many guys with z's around here that hang out together....there are a couple of rednecks who riced the hell out of them, but it's pretty much me, my buddy with a tt, another budy with a supra, and a chick with an rx7....

yeah but it's only 4 of us, and we never seem to all get together at the same time. and there are like 50 mustangs, and hundreds of ricers, i get along with all those guys but they are just i dunno....civic drivers are kinda "special" i dunno what else to say. to them if you don't drive a modded civic you don't have a real car...which is just stupid. this guy has a 98 hatch with a turbo, and he is slow as hell, i mean slow as hell, hell i could prolly run faster, and he always wants to drag at the light, and he never gets pulled over bc his father is a cop. i mean just **** like that. i just wish we had more ppl like you guys over here. but you are right emo it is a pretty cool group. the rx7 chick is cool as hell, and she always has a hot friend riding with her. her rx7 is pretty sweet

no kidding thats how i met my g/f. she zoomed by me in her car, then slowed down, rolled her window down and said can you keep up?, and i was like hell yeah...she drives like crazy. her car is not like a race car or anything . it's a bmw 328 ic it's 2000, and i put a short throw and aftermarket headlights, and eibach springs, she has m3 wheels which are sweet. she get's a little bit jelaous of the rx7 chick but thats how girls are. it's a fast bmw, and she can drive, and check this.... i let her drive my z

A little jealousy keeps em working to impress you and keep your attention. It's healthy..just not too much. A little bit of my philosophy.

A TT, or course youll win against most Rice Burners. But IMO, its better to trash them with a 10 year old N/A. You know IMO.

Yea, but that won't always happen. We had a guy in my club that has one bad NA. It has every bolt on possible and a lot of engine work. Plus an 80 shot of NOS. He wouldn't have beat that turbo Del Sol.

del sols are light and no doubt you can make it quick, but it's a girly car, or a gay car...no offense to anyone, but i wouldn't be cought dead cruisin in a del sol

You better post pics of the progress and whole process and do a nice write up for our younger members wanting to do the same! Here's another one of those by the way...

Naw, it should be a fun learning experience too. You'll know more than a lot of us on here after you finish it. You'll know a lot about the VG.

So, you're gonna help me build my motor after your TT swap, right? Oh and try to look for some cams...I believe the reason for the 20 less horses in jspec motors are the cams.
