Wanting a 300zx
I think that the 1990 to 1996 300zx are wonderful cars i have been wanting to buy one and have been looking, but i want one that is extremly cheap because im going to strip the of everything and build it from the ground up. I cant see myself spending a few thousand on a car that is going to be totally reconfigurated, my goal is to have the car lowered with every aftermarket part on it. I really want to see how many H/p i can get out of that 6 cy engine. I was wondering if any one had a 300zx that they are willing to part with for little money, doesnt matter the condition the car is in.
A Z for little money? Only in a junkyard, buddy! But realistically if you don't wanna spend much don't expect to get much. Just try a general search with the search engine of your choice and go from there. of course there's always cars.com, vehix.com, autotrader.com, and the like. Your Z is out there....somewhere.

wanting 300zx
i live in West Virgina and it is very hard to find a 300zx in this area. ive looked everywhere in this state and everyone wants an arm and a leg for a pile of junk. One guy was asking 4,500, for a 1990 300zx with 145,000 miles that needed motor work and a transmission, and the body had a lot of rust in it too. I have drove to watertown ny to buy a 300zx but the car had 2 titles and the guys selling the car was strange and i thought i was going to get robbed so i didnot buy that car. So im a little hesitant to travel to purchase another car. That is why i asked for a little help from this web page. Thanks!!!

Where have you looked?

Try this? This is an autotrader zipcode search (I used 25301 charleston) with a 300mile radius. As you can see there are 500 vehicles matching the description.
Good luck!

You can always try buying a Z from a member of one of these Z forums. That way you'll know that at least the Z was somewhat taken care of. Look in the for sale section. If your hesitant to travel, then at least this way you'll be able to see the car before you get there via e-mail. Maybe you just need to bide your time. Trust me...after I bought my 93 N/A I saw a 90 tt for the same price. Needless to say I was very PO'ed. But I've grown to love my N/A, so I'm not to upset anymore.
Your Z will come to you in time.

I can assure you the most TT have been smashing gears all day long. Be very careful. Check the compression and get it inspect. Cheap one usually has a problem. Theres a lot on sale in CA so if you are will to travel. And if you found one in san jose...i can stop by and check it out.
