suspension overhaul

ok guys, i know i'm dealing with the experts here (ALL HAIL THE RIZZ). I have a question about suspension. About how much would i look at spending on a complete suspension overhaul for the 90 n/a i just purchased. Paid $2500 for the car.

whats an overhaul to you? springs and struts? or springs struts new bushing and sway bars etc. you gotta let us know what exactly you want to replace. plus mostlikely just searching the parts would get you a better answer and writing down the prices. also you going performance or oem?

if you mean full out coilovers and all that.....dont waste the money. if you want a decent increase in performance, go with the eibach/KYB combo.

or if you want to see what the original factory ride was buy replacement OEM shocks/struts and get a Hyperflex bushing kit for 200$ and replace whatever looks worn. Replacing all those bushings is a bit time consuming.

It should be about 120$ a corner for shocks and 200$ for the bushing kit, you may need these also:

Lower control arms left/right about 150$ each
a shock bushing gasket kit at about 280$

That would be pretty much a complete rebuild of your factory suspension with a couple upgraded parts.

I checked out this combo and I think thats what I'm going to go with. Not looking for any kinda super performance but just want a tighter feel.

you should also replace all your bushings with Energy Suspension bushings while you have the car in the air. and get the 300degree camber kit to bring the front camber back into spec after lowering the car.
