SPL coilover advice
SPL coilover advice
Kinda following up on some previous threads...trying to refine my decision.
I'm planning to replace my shocks and springs on all four corners and the SPL coilovers seem to be the way to go. Any opinions pro or con? At that price point are there any others I should consider? I intend a VERY modest 3/4" lowering in the front to start with, about half that in the rear. I am going to continue using stock wheels and tires for now.
I was also going to swap out the front upper arms, tension rods, and tie rod ends, all as well from SPL. Thoughts?
SPL advertizes their front springs rates as 8kg/mm; the Tein's are 12kg/mm. I understand that the stock springs are 3kg/mm so either are a significant increase. Are the Tein's hard at 4x stock strength? For spirited daily driving, will the SPL's still be too harsh?

I would believe in anything they sell. SPL is one of the best companies you can buy parts from. I don't think anyone here has coilovers, so we may not be able to help. If you can tell me what the spring rates are on the Eibach pro kit, then I can give you a comparison.
