Rims - Opinions Please

I have been looking and I may have found one that I can live with. Please honest opinions. They are available in 17x9 24mm (F/R). Is 24mm OK??? I like the 5-spoke pattern for a STAR rim (as opposed to 6,7,8 spokes!!!), but I don't care much for the dual rivets per spoke design. However, but I am yet to see the size/offset/price combination offered by this Montgi rim. So, let me have it, honestly!!! BTW, I'm not stuck to this color, as long as it isn't CHROME, GOLD or some other way off color. Black or polished silver is what I like.

Other Wheel Opton

I'd do like this, though I don't care much for the xtra holes in the hub to accommodate other bolt patterns, and the mesh thing wasn't easy to clean on my Z31. However, these is a less dense mesh design and they come in 17x8 - 35mm (F) and 17x9 - 35mm (R) which I prefer. Again, honest opinions please. Thanks.

Thanks. That's the kind of opinion I'd like to hear. However, arent they made by American Racing? My 89 Z31 which I just sold had ARE rims on it since 89 and they still looked very good when I offloaded the car. Why do you say Montegi's are crap? BTW, the second pic is a Sport Max rim. I have no idae who makes them.

you'll want to make sure to get entire wheels. rims alone won't do you much good.

LOL!!!!! I drive on really wide rail tracks everywhere. No, but I do have that part covered. These would be strictly summer replacements, so I have time and I know what set of rubber to put on them. I have to decide on what looks best for me, first - of course, it'd be nice that folks here like the looks also!!!!!!!!!!!

That's also one reason why anything above 17 inches is a NO! NO!! for me.

The 5-spoked G'Lights are nice. A coupleof things I don't like about them - the skinny spokes will expose the punny Z32 front brake discs too much - to me, that look is ricey - and the multiple holes in the hub make them look somewhat cheap. Same argument applies to the 5Zigen 5-Spokers, and I'd already ruled them out. My taste is towards the SSR style that was shown earlier (the SP1 is below). I think the LARGE spoke look really fits the Z32 given its wide everything - the rear pillars are wide, the rear end is a killer wide ****, the doors are xtra-wide and even the interior is wide. To complement the relatively narrow front facia, a wide stance is required and that stance will look much better with wide spokes. That's my story and I'll stick with it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Both look really really sweet and well done. Even the 6-spoke looks good. Note the large brake discs on the 6-spoke rims. Makes it look even better. These must be 18's or more though. What kind of rims are these?

for an opinion on looks... i like the black 5 spoke. but there are plenty of other companies that make wheels that look just like that but better. i don't like the exposed rivets in them anyway.

Yep, Kazera and they're about $170 a piece on sale at The Rack. Too bad they're 18s.

I'm pretty sure 24mm offset is way too low and will stick out too far, you need something in the 30 to 40 range.
