hey 300zx has an LSD now is it posi rear both tires spin correct? now nismo sells a LSD for non turbo, the guy said it makes it posi rear but isnt it posi rear already? both tires spin on my car lol any one no the differnce between them, and maybe explan wat they mean 57 pound break away wats the break away of the stock LSD? i want to get that nismo LSD if its worth it opiouns needed and if any one has an LSD

aren't you supposed to know these things?
1. Positraction is General Motors terminology... we don't have a GM differential
2. We have a Limited Slip Differential, which allows some deviation between tire speeds (with Posi, both rear wheels spin the same speed all the time). LSD > Posi for any racing where turning is involved, Posi > LSD in a straight line
3. More specifically, we have a Viscous type LSD. Most important to know about this is that it is not rebuildable.
4. The break away difference, I'm pretty sure, is how much deviation in speed the differential allows between the two wheels.

lol well the only reson i siad posi traction was because i called curtousy nissan they said that makes both tires lock up like posi rear thats what they said the new LSD does ,i just wondering i no the differnce i just curous what the differnce between the stock and that NISMO LSD is
