350 wheels on the zx

what size tires on the base model 17" 350 wheels keep the speedo on the Z32 accurate? i'm hoping that it's 225/45. i see that the 350's came with 225/50's, but the tires i like don't have that size.

Have you tried a tire size online calculator?

I think the factory rear tire is 245/45/16 for the Z32 ... correct me if I'm wrong

Yes there are. Generally a different wheel and tire combo will be close to the stock size but not exactly the same. Try to get it as close as possible; I go with 1% change or less and usually try to stay on the smaller side with the new tires.
(so when my speedo reads 60, I'm really going 59.6 mph)

245/40/17 looks like a good size for the 17x8 three fiddy wheelz

the front you could run smaller tires.
225/40-17 or 215/45-17

NTB i think will beat any advertised price or some crap like that. look at ecsta's they are a good performing tire and pretty affordable. its probably what i'll stick on the talon if i end up keeping it a couple more months.

i'll check them out. i'm really stuck on riken raptors though. i got them a year ago, and other than my abnormally wearing front left, they all look like brand new, even after plenty of doughnuts. they grip very well on the dry road, and they handle puddles and such very well. even if they start dry rotting in a few months, i like them because they only cost about $75 a piece. we'll see.

check out the yokohama S.speed's... I used to run yokohama avs evs 100's or w/e the model was and I loved them... I don't have any personal experience with the s.speed's but it got high ratings on tire rack, and the price doesn't look bad. around 115 ish and i loved the other yokohamas I had. I can tell you though, what you spend is what you get on tires.... I upgraded to toyo t1-r's.. which run around 180-200 now. When I got mine they had JUST come out and were replacing the t1-s's and were around 250 a tire... best investment ever, and the best tire i've ever used.... it's amazing.

well, i'm satisfied for now with my rikens. i plan to go with them agian, and they are very amazing for $75 each. i may look into the s.speeds, but for my level of competition (almost none), i'd rather stick with what is decent and cheap, rather than what is more expensive and pretty good. i don't find the rakens dangerous by any means. they are predictable, and grip as well as any others that i've experienced. and they hold up well. i really see no reason to spend anymore on tires until i get into any serious competition which is a long way off. auto-x is more of driving practice and experience building for me. i'm not being competitive, so i don't care about my time.
