17x9 and 17x10 offset?

I am planing on doing a 17x9 up front and a 17x10 out back but im not sure what offset I will need. Also I was going to do a 255/45 17 in front and a 285/40 17 out back. Do these tire sizes sound right? Thanks

I'd go with 40 series all the way around. The tire sizes sound right. I've been told that 275's are the largest tires that can fit in the rear on the Z32 without them rubbing.

I have 255/40/17 up front on 8.5" with 275/35/18 on 9.5" rears. BBS RC's.

Not a clue. Not even a little one. I called the Tire Rack. Told them what I wanted. Viola, they fit.

Offset will actually depend on the style and manufacture of whatever particular rims you're using.
Best bet would be to contact the manufacturer of the rims that you seek and ask them for their recommended offset for your vehicle.
