my WHEELS are 17s. Antera something or others. they are OK, but....

i'm thinking about getting some hyper black 5zigen FN01RC's, also 17". i think the contrast would look good with the white car and red calipers. what do you guys think? anyone got some good pics of these on a white z?

I think that would look good. I think those darker wheels look good on white cars.

pretty sure theyre just the veilside ones. they came with my car, so im not sure where they were bought. i have no rubbing problem with mine tho. i glued the parts that were molded with the doorsills, and theyve been fine.

But 18's set the car so nicely. I had a set of 17's but opted for these 18" bad boys

so you would be fine with just the rim? i dont think that you would get very far like that. the rim is just the outer part of the wheel that the tire mounts on. the whole thing is called a WHEEL.

Damn, another newbie goin' haywire on a Moderator... What has this place come to? If you can't take a little sarcasm you're in the wrong forum. That was a self written-one way ticket to bannedville right there. Switch to Decaf or something.

Rod.

i can take sarcasm just fine,if its just sarcasm. but i felt that he was going out of his way to make an *** out of me. do you need the rims or the wheels, i should have seen that but i thought he wasnt being mean and just trying to help me out, so i thought he meant wheels or tires. if there would have been a smiley or something along those lines i would have took it better knowing it was all in good fun. it seemed to be an im better than you kind of thing.

Well...think about it. No one was making you to look more of an *** than yourself. It is all in the way you dealt with it. You could have said...oh, sorry, thanks and left it alone. Instead you point out that you have your own business and 6 bays...but you don't know the difference between a wheel and a rim. C'mon if you are gonna get into it you may as well point it all out and tell us how you really feel. So for now I will go for a walk around the rim of my property and drink coffee from the rim of my cup and then I will sit back and admire the wheels on my sole car in my driveway that has flawless rims around the wheels. Fact is fact. Wheel is wheel and rim is a rim. I know a guy who would post 20 pictures to prove this to you. But I am not him and I really think you took it too personal. So there If you take any insult to this I apologize but really!

point well taken and very true, just people always use the wrongs words to describe what they are talking about, i did that even though i do know the difference. i just dont think he should have went about that the way he did either. i mean whats the point really, he could have just said i think you mean wheels. everyone calls them rims so it was force of habit. and why should i apologize to him for using improper terminology when it was never directed towards him in the first place. he singled me out, period. im 26 i live in a city full of ebonics, i guess it carries over to me lol. i guess part of my previous response was out of anger from my daily events, but regardless it still wasnt nice. and no insult was taken and just for the record there were two others who also said rims in this thread.

Concerned about money?
Well then, before you make your decision do a little tire shopping first.
I have 18s and just to put good tires on the back (18*10) it will cost over $600.
