Z32 seat swap

Z32 seat swap
Hello,
I am looking to hear from anyone who has done a successful seat swap from another vehicle, Nissan or otherwise, into their Z32 TT. My passenger side seat is in great shape (for sale once I find an answer to my post) but my driver side is very beat up. Please note, I am not interested in a "racing" seat from Sparco, Kirkey, etc. Those of you who have gone that route, whether you like them or not, that is not what I'm looking for but thanks. I HAVE priced out getting the seat repaired but it would look weird to only do one side so that cost would double to reupholster both front seats- around $1000. I am also not interested in cheap seat covers so please again, happy or not, I'm not interested in going that route. I have driven many cars over the years and have seen some really nice stock leather bucket seats but the size of the Z puts most of those seats out of the running. As a side note, I do have a great welder I've used in the past who can make frame or rail fabrications as necessary. I have also scoured the internet and local junk yards for original seats but have come up empty or the ones I have found are overpriced for their condition or the price plus shipping makes them unaffordable. I would like to stay under $500 for the pair. Please help.
