Washing & waxing

What do you guys do? I hate waxing!! Has anyone tried the liquids that supposedly wax as you wash? Are they any good?

I also use the Mother's 3 phase + last year discovered the magic of a clay bar. I don't think there are many good substitutes for waxing and more specifically, the buffing process. I don't see how the 2 in 1's would bond as well. The 2 in 1's sound like they could work but might provide protection that doesn't last as long, perhaps leading to having to wash more often.
Just my two cents from my experience with both.

The option that is intriguing me right now is that "Crystal Guard" stuff that is a forum sponsor. I think there may have been a previous thread on it. Although it does require initial work to get onto the car, the sponsor makes it sound like a "do it once, don't worry about again" product.

ive always used meguiars 3 stage wax and have loved it, except it usually takes me about 3 hours to completely wash and wax my car.
i tried the black magic wet spray wax stuff, and i didnt like it too much
you have to use it when the car is wet for it to work the best, but it leaves streaks anyways

I too use the Meguiar's 3 stage wax. I'm going to try the clay bar on it this summer. I used the Eagle 1 spray on wax, but can't really tell how well it worked since it is new paint. I don't think there is a substitute for good ol' elbow grease.

I've tried spray on wax.
Didn't like it. It made it look like i had blotches on the car.
Needless to say that didn't make me a satisfied customer.

I myself have been a user of Meguiars products for many years with great results. I've never had any of that fading, or flaking of the clear coat that I see on many cars. I'm just curious to see if they've created any new products that work well with less effort. This is the 21st century after all......

I've used the RainX soap with wax in it to simply wash the car inbetween waxes, and it helps to keep the water beading up on the pain longer in my experience. Its not much more than reqular soap.
