Spare tire storage possible while inflated?
Spare tire storage possible while inflated?
Well, heh, I knew it was inevitable....eventually I was going to get a flat. No matter how hard you try to avoid it theres always that one screw in the road that...well...screws you. I wasn't worried when I came out to teh garage and found my left rear flat, hell I had the factory road side kit to include the wheel chocks, so I fugered "Hell, I'll just jack er' up, slap on the spare and drive on down to Firestone to have em fix it." Ok...sound in theory, not practice. I was a little dismayed to find the spare flat....but then amazed as Randy the tire guy informed me that the spare is SUPPOSED to be flat and that the Z came with a can of pressurized air for emergency inflation.
Veddy interesting...I had no idea....and unfortunately I have no can of pressurized air so if I happen to get a flat out in the boonies I'm hosed. So, the questions are:
1) Can I get a replacement can o' air or will a hand pump work? (spare needs to be inflated to 60psi)
or
2) Can I just blow the damn thing up and have it store in the compartment?

I'd say get a can of air... they are cheap and can get them at walmart, I used to carry a bag with a hydraulic automatic jack, a can of air (and one with sealant), one of those jumpstarter in a box things, and some coolant as my emergency kit... never was lacking, then someone broke in and stole my emergency kit!
