Shaved Antena, Wiper and Wing

Ok SO i have nwo shaved off completly my Antena and Wiper. now the only thing bothering me is the material I used. Unfortunately after welding teh plate in place I filled it in with Body Filler. (BOndo) so it has a layer of bonod aproximately 3/16 thick, so now should I take it offa dn fill it with somethign else? I don;t want my paint craking in the future. so I want opinions and atons of Information.

whenever you shave something, the stupidest thing to do is fill it with bondo. No offense, it just is a poor replacement for metal when shaving something. This guy I know shaved the door handles and tailgate latch off of his truck, and filled the holes with bondo. It was the most horrible thing I had ever seen. After he had the car painted, you could see the ripples where the bondo was, and the paint began to chip. I would just cut some sheet metal, spot weld it over, and grind it down.

2nd. Don't use bondo, your paint will crack when exposed to the sun.

Bondo is only supposed to be used to fill in tiny blemishes in the metal (it's supposed to help make the surface completely smooth before primer and paint). Not supposed to be used as a filler.

I'd use fiberglass if I were you (available at Pep Boys).

metal is the only way to go. anything else will never completely bond, and eventually you will have problems, so bust out the welder again.

yeah, dont waste time with fiberglass. weld it right, and then grind and sand it smooth. do it right the first time, and you will be happy. do it the easy way, and down the road you will regret it.

No need. I was actually taking a line from the movie Swingers. If you haven't seen it then just buy it.

Is there a Phi Delta Theta on campus?
