nose piece

i just recieved my new V2 Ducted nose piece today. the ducts on there arent open, and i cant decide if i want to saw the ducts open or not. i think it would look kinda weird if i didnt get it cut open, but if i did cut them, would debris and water that go through the ducts cause any harm to anything under there? what do you guys think i should do?

Cut it out and fabricate mesh screens to cover the openings.

Yah, I've been considering that too. I would probably have them come closed so I can decide when I get it painted if I feel I really need them open. I plan on getting the Stillen Louvered. Expensive, but VERY nice quality...

I have the stillen louvered. Ill put it on when Im ready to paint. Some have mentioned the possibility of water getting on the intake if openings are cut but I don't know of anyone having problems with it.

Yah, I guess it might just be a slight problem, but I don't know what the odds are of getting enough water in it to cause a problem.

I have the louvered panel with the cutouts and haven't had any problems. 5+ years and counting.
