good luck, ive tried it before in two of my other cars and not only was it an endless endeavor but there were some difficulties w/ the fiberglass not adhering in some of the corner areas, my suggestion: use a lot of resin, like drench it in the **** and make sure it is ****in on there good, and try not to use too much hardner otherwise it will start to crack in the heat of the sun.

i gust finished the first panel. this was not that hard.
what i did and mutirels so far.

things needed to do project:
1: fiber glass reson
2: 6 inch. da palm sander
3: 80 grit, 120 grit, 320 grit for the da
4: 320 grit for hand sanding

steps
1: clean tweed and rens completly and let dry
2:lay fiberglass reson down on the tweed.(no fiberglass matting is needed. the tweed will act like fiberglass matting. and works perfict.) repet 4 more times.
3: let set up
4: da sander with 80 grit to sand down all the high spots(you will be abel to tell where the high spots are and when they are gone.you will see the low spots that look like littel crators.)
5:repet da with 120 grit,320 grit
6: hand sand the rest for the shap and smothness
(note: im going to add a littel body filler to get the shap that i want but not to much of corse)

I have also done this to my interior, turned out ok, you can also use Dupont vinyl color and bulldog adhesion promoter to paint all the rest of the parts. Mine survived the Vegas heat with no problems last summer.

I suppose tweed may be simpler then vinyl or plastic, sounds like the tweed helps mesh the two together. Im sure since it isnt getting hit by direct sunlight it will probably be a little more durable as well.
