door speakers

I want to replace my door speakers. Can you put a 6.5 in the place of the factory bose ( 4 in) with no probelm?

I have 7" Eton's in the front doors. Once you take out the BOSE speaker and the plastic box, you'll have plenty of room for the speaker. You'll need to make a customo mount because the speaker screw holes will not line up with anything. I used 3/8" particle board under the door panel and bolted it straight to the door. I've been needing to get to a rattle in my door, so if I have the door panel off, I'll take a picture and post it.

If you're lazy or unsure how to do it, there are numerous kits out there that include mounts and you can easily buy those and put them in as well.
