what is the best door and rear speaker to replace my factory bose speaker? The head unit is an alpine ( just bought ). also, what about amps and sub woofer? I have been out of the loop since the late 80's

I would suggest that you pick up/read a copy of Car Audio and Electronics, Auto Sound & Security, or other magazines along those lines. The same companies that were around in the late eighties are probably a good bet if you're wary of a brand you don't recognize. MB Quart, Rockford Fosgate, Phoenix Gold, Precision Power, A/D/S, Boston Acoustic, Kicker, Pioneer, Sony, Kenwood, and so on and so on have been around since like forever. The real question you should be asking yourself is how much do you want to spend. You can always find what you're looking for at Wal-mart, or a local specialty shop might have what you're looking for. Also what kind of music you listen to has an impact of what kind of equipment you choose. Ultimately, all I'm telling you is you need to be more specific and narrow down your choices my friend.
