i used those hi wattage HID-like bulbs for the main headlights, hi beams, turn signals and back up lights. Gave them a bluish tinge when looking at the car and changed the lighting from a yellow/orange glow to white.
Be wary of the type of bulbs u buy as the hi wattage bulbs melted the stock wiring for the headlamps that i then had to replace the whole headlight harness at the light assembly.

Were not allowed to use different colored bulbs in NJ.

I did convert my headlights to HID though. And they look good.

I've got the front clear-corner markers with the Silver-Star chrome looking bulbs and had no issues with inspection in NJ.
When I go for inspection I do swap regular bulbsfor my HIDs into the headlights though.

I have silver star fogs (glare guards removed), low beams, high beams, and I have the smoked corners, and I did use a white bulb in it (supposed to be yellow), eh, swapped in some yellow silver stars, they are brighter, but I really can't decide.

But the silverstars are awesomely bright.

my hids passed nj standards in both my cars.

theyre just dicks about everything else.

i had a brake balance issue on my jeep, they wouldnt pass me.

but the ******** passed the lady in front of me whos door wouldnt close unless you reset the latch.

bs. i think its safer for one break to stop slightly harder then the other ((considering theres 3 perfectly working brakes, and it was the rear brake)) then having a door that doesnt close.
