4 point harnesses

4 point harnesses

I currently am about to buy some nismo seats for my car and install 4 way harnesses and I had a few questions, first off... the seat buckle is made into the seat... is there anyway i can get a buckle to bolt to the floor so i wont always have to ur the 4 point harnesses? also another thing will I be able to hook the harnesses into the floor board... and comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

ummm, where the seats bolt to the floor would be a good place to start.

If the back of your harnesses are lower than your shoulders, your spine will compress in an impact.

The only way to safely use harnesses is with a roll bar. But the only way to safely use a roll bar is with a helmet (bash your skull on the roll bar).

All safety systems work together. It's best just to use what the factory gave you. Drape the harnesses over the back to impress your friends, but if you plan on living without being a vegetable, DO NOT use them as your safety belt.

A friend of mine put a 4 point harness in his Zed a few months ago. He bolted the lap belts to the floor with bolts for his seat. He then used his rear stut tower bar to attach his shoulder belts. I am not sure how saff this is, but I have sat in his car and U DON'T MOVE. It holds u in the seats like glue. This also address Z1 ZONLY concerns, not to mention it is a cheaper alternative to a roll bar.
