Not much around on working these engines, I'm looking at the feasibility of 400rwhp with a single BB turbo and suitable engine mods.
Understand that the crank and rods from a VG30DETT will fit so that takes care of the bottom end. What about the heads? Rockers? Cams are available, head work seems straight forward.
Problem is its hard to find who has done what for which results.

Stock botom end will hold 400hp.
The weakest link in the short block are the pistons.But with a GOOD TUNE
they can handle 400 hp.Keep in mind that detination can easily kill a piston even
if the motor only makes 200hp.
To make 400hp you will need
solid vg30
after maket intercooler (although an MK IV will work)
3inch exaust
high capacity fuel pump( walboro 255 , z32tt)
at the least 420 injectors
larger AFM (z32tt or 93 ford cobra will work fine)
recalibrated ECU or stand alone
a big turbo
and of course a clutch kit that will hold all that power
Things that will help even more
camshafts,head work,adj. cam gears,etc.etc....
