My tach is not working, we check the resister thats near your feet and the ignition amplifyer if that has anything to do with it I dont know. Where else would we need to look at, I have a another cluster from a 86 I think if my is just broken... But I just need to know how to fix this, its driving me nuts...

 

does the tach connect with the tranny in these?? if so, is there a connection there or absent?? cables?? i haven't had the honor of having this problem with my na--but i have with vw's, chevy's, my yanmar in my boat, and others--i'd check the simplest thimgs first--could be a dirty cable or it could be a missing connection??? then, after that, THEN spend all your money!!!
