Sound from Canister..???

Guys, I have a 86 NA and I am getting a "squeeling" sounds coming from my carbon canister. Specifically it's the vacuum line/connector coming from the bottom port on the canister (towards the front of car). Only occurs as the rpm's reach about 2,000. I can pinch the vacuum tube and the noise will go away. Just replaced all the hoses this weekend but it was doing this with the old hose.. Any suggestions on what could cause this...or do I need to just replace the canister?
Thanks!
