question on a shifter

well good news is that in about 3 1/2 months i will be the proud owner of another Z, it is an 87 300ZX Turbo to sit next to my 87 300ZX N/A. anyway my question is this: i know that alot of parts from a 240sx will work/fit into the 300z but i was curious on the shifter from b&m? http://bmracing.com/index.php?id=pro...cat=15&pid=176
if anyone has put this one in or knows if it will work please let me know. (the tranny it would go into is the FS5R30A for those of you who dont know) thanks.

Actually, very few 240SX parts will fit directly into a Z31. Almost everything will require modifications of some kind.

And no. The B&M shifter is the whole plate. It won't swap into the FS5R30A. It will work with the FS5R71C just fine. You'll need one of the cheaper short throws. Like the OBX, C's, etc.

thanks for the info on the b&m shifter. ive looked at the obx that jason from redz31.com put into his but i was just wondering if there were ant good brands like b&m that would work in in the FS5R30A because i dont really like cheap parts, but oh well guess it will have to work right. thanks again.
