need help
I have a 1986 turbo 300zx auto When i try to drive it will accelerate to 25mph then it feel like it shuts off In park enging accels fine Pulled codes prk/neutral switch and throttle position switch If it was in fail safe shouldnt it not accel in park Checked with dealrship no information Ive replaced maf no help was wondering if problem may be in transmission has any one run into similar problem

I have a 1984 z na auto, and Im a technitian at a florida nissan dealer. the z31s had a problem for what is called fuel cut off around 2000-2500 rpm. it would apear to go into fail safe mode. most times you will pull codes and get the throttle position code, if the trottle is not depressed when you start self diag, you will sometimes gret that code. the autotransmision control module is most likely at fualt. this doesnt mean you need to replace it. the ground wire inside the module has a tendensy to burn off. best bet is to sodder it back on.
