this has been debated many times on the forum. feel free to use our search function. unless you have money to throw away, put a vg30et in. more power for less money/hassle.

I know the 300zr (JDM only) had a VG30DE style engine in it
Are you sure about that? I was under the impression, maybe mistakenly, that the 300zr had the RB24 and RB25 power-plants. That's an in-line 6 banger.

It's doable, but not really a worthwhile project. Some, but, very few have even tried.

Anywho, when you scrap the z32, be sure to get it all. You'll need everything from the ECU to the exhaust tips. Kidding, but you will need most of the hardware and software to make it work.

Please explain how the vg30de is gonna' be better than a rock solid vg30t.

more aftermarket for the vg30t, plus the vg30de is a nice motor, but unless you want to fork over some serious cash to brake out the 300HP line, it just aint worth it, i persoanlly want to do it, just to say i did it, but not right now..
