ignition Issues!
Hi,
I Have A 84 300z, it runs great but as soon as you cut it off it wont crank, wait a day or two and its fine again. It seems like its the ignition module (Chevy guy) which it doesnt seem that these cars have one, or atleast one called ignition module.
Anyways it has absolutly no spark not at the coil or anything.
Can anyone help please!!!!!
Thanks

are you not getting any spark or if you were to push start it would it start? if you can push start it you might have a lose connection somewhere on the starter area. like from the batter to the starter and what not. and if your not getting any spark what so ever then you've got bigger problems i'm geussing.

When you say, "it won't crank", are you saying that the starter will not spin the engine, OR, are you saying the engine will spin, but, will not fire and run?
If it's not spinning, the starter may be about shot and won't work when heated. Might be a loose cable or corrosion at a terminal. All easy to track down and repair.
If it's the latter, run the ECU codes (method and results can be found in the appropriate Haynes Repair Manual), and post your findings in this thread. Somebody will get back to you when you do.

Sorry I should have been more descriptive indeed!!!
There was no spark (At The coil) I thought that it was going the be the PTU (Power Transitor unit) But It turned out to be the Crank Angle Sensor.
And for future reference for any one with the same problem, the car would crank sometimes but as soon as you go home no spark, it would also turn off when driving sometimes.
Thanks for the response, sorry I was late!!
