im changing them to aftermarket gauges, and when i connect the sender line from the gauge to the oil pressur sensor (next to the oil filter) the dash reads 0psi and the aftermarket gauge will read past 100 psi. does any one know how to connect aftermarket gauges or has a diagram on how to connect. i have the diagram from the autometer box but its not specific enough.

You HAVE to use the autometer sender. run a keyed positive to the positive terminal on the gauge and run a ground and run a wire from the gauge to the autometer sender.

so you have taken the stock oil pressure sending unit out of the block and replace it with the auto-meter pressure sending unit? was it still reading high? the instructions are all pretty much straight forward.
