how does this starter come out
 

ok well ive been working on getting the beast up and runniing but i cant get the starter out??? do i have to take off the exhaust to get it out??...ill trade anyone right now for a rusted out supra :confused: :(

ya but then youd be getting a slower car....ill look and try to fig it out for ya

what year is your car 87-89 the starter and exhhuast are on opposite sides of the car theres 2 bolts that hold the started up,remove the starter then disconnecting the wires is the easier of doing it but dont put any unneeded wait on those cables.

its an 87 and it seems that there is some kind of heat shield or something because i got the one bolt going the conventional way and the one bolt going the other way and the damn thing wont budge at all. And if i were able to trade it for a supra..anything is faster than a car that wont run because i cant even get the starter out.
