Hey every body i have a friend hear in clovis who just picked up her first z car its a 4th month of 84 300zx z-31 turbo with an auto tranny brown exterior and blackish tan interior she bought the car as is for 400 dollars good news the interior is in awsome shape..... new tires new brakes new muffler bad news is..... the engine has been in a major fire looks like the passenger side fuel injectors leaks badly and started a fire inside the engine bay looks like the right side wire harness is completely toasty all i see is bare copper ... any body have any experance on pulling out the motor on this car ? i will be heading over to her house tomorow morning 11:00 and will be starting to slowly pull off the wire harness first then pull out the entire engine does any body know how much a donor engine and complete wire harness for this car is ? please help as i want to see this car fixed an on the road ....

 

Up date i was able to locate a donor car for her car the donor car is a 3rd month of 84 300zx turbo manual tranny digital dash.. hers is a 4th month of 84 analoge dash... does any body know if the engine wire harness will be the same on both cars? please any body with z-31 knowledge please help me out so far i have started to pull out the engine wire harness to start.... any body ?

 

The engine harness' are the same.

 

The only harnesses that will be different will be the dash harnesses. Simply because of the digital/analog.

 

ok thanks i didint know if the digital dash was interfear with the analoge dash... great well score my friend misty has a z-31 turbo automatic thats about to have a new engine harness !!! right on !! ill keep yall posted on how long it takes me to pull out the old harness and put in a new harness minus engine down time...
