Question GLL Radio not working

I have a 86 GLL Z31 with all the digital stuff. I am currently having trouble with the radio not coming on. I have fixed the power unit box and the dash, climate control and clock work. The screen on the climate control works and so do all the buttons. Now, the stereo screen does not turn on. There is no sound either. I have researched all over to see if this is a common problem but have found absolutely nothing.

Any wires or any other fuses I should check? I checked the fuse in the kickpanel.

If it helps. the car has been sitting for 6 years and has not ran in that time. I just recently bought it 6 months ago to restore. So far, I have fixed many electrical components as now, the whole dash works as soon as the key goes to the ON position.

Thank you in advanced!

mice ate the wires. radio is junk anyway. check all your fuses WITH A VOM not just looking at them. What are you calling the stereo screen? 86 was way before stuff like that.

I would like to keep the stock look so I want to try and see if I can get it to turn on. I actually checked for any insects or rodents inside the car and cockroaches is about the only thing I found. I will check the fuses with a VOM. What I am referring to as the screen is the little LCD display.

I have the same problem with the stereo in my 1986 300zx GLL. I could not find the problem so I decided to install aftermarket stereo. Did you find out what the problem is? I am hoping to keep the stock stereo if I can get it to work.
