brake lights wont turn off??

brake lights wont turn off??
im my new 84 turbo the brake lights wont turn off not just the driving lights but the brake lights too,the headlights are not staying on only on the rear of the car the brake and driving lights are constantly lit with the key in acc position or with the car on. any suggestions?? thanks alot guys!

Look at the pedal hanger (under the dash) and you should see two rubber nipples that are pedal stops. One is for the brake, the other for the clutch. If you don't see them, look in the floor because one, or both, has fallen out. Chances are good there is your problem.
