86 na to turbo conversion

Ok i was wondering if all the info i got was right, im going to go from the NA to turbo i have all the parts, i was told that if i turbo the na motor that the stock internals and heads will do just fine, and i was told that i didn't need to change my harness, but that i could not run my stock injectors, i have the turbo injectors from a 86 turbo, and was also told that i had to specifically use a 86 turbo ecm. Is this true and will the turbo ecm plug right in to my na harness? any guidance would be very helpful.

Thanks in Advance

while the NA motor CAN be turboed, it is not recommended, as the compression ratio is significantly higher. you will be limited to a rather low level of boost. NA-Turbo is the #1 asked question on this forum, search around a bit, as there is a wealth of info on the subject.

works best to just buy a turbo z in the first place-----they are cheeeeeep enuff--i found one for 200$--you can , too--why screw up a perfectly good na with a turbo conversion that will not do any favors for the engine????and cost you many dolla?????? think smart----buy a cheeep turbo and fix it up.......:037:

what

i have heard that the na to turbo can go horribly wrong but im not real sure if i care, here is the story unless i use/sell these parts my wife wont let me get anything else. But if they blow up i have no other choice. I really want to do a v8 (infinity) but now i have to many parts

Just out of curiosity... who is telling you all this?
