I've got an 86 n/a I put a turbo engine in it...its 5spd...I raced a 00 or around there Vette...I have no ideai f it was auto or stick but I'd say it was auto...I got him off the line and barely stayed ahead till about 60...every gear he was catching up..then we hit traffic...I have cams, 240sx throttle body, K&N filter, no exhaust

vette vs 300zx
always remember this....ITS NOT THE CAR WHO WINS THE RACE,,,BUT THE DRIVER... Ive seen some mix match races where the faster car missed a gear...Ive owned a 66 vette 427 and i own a 86 300zx now. the race in Question will go off like this....both cars are tacing up , alot of power coming from the vette,as he side foots the pedle, the car goes sideways and cant get traction...the 300zx *** hits the ground as he hooks up,just about pulling the front tires off the ground. the turbo is set up for max presser and hes pined to the seat, slaping it in to 2 gear with a short shifter setup...the vette regains traction and power shifts to 2 and side by side down the street they run...the zx turbo keeps the V 6 in the race .BUT TO HIS SUPRIZE THE VETTE HAS SOMETHING TO CONTER THE TURBO..AND THE VETTE DRIVER HITS THE BUTTON..DAM LIKE A BAT OUT OF HALL THE VETTE PULLS AHEAD...DAM BUT WAIT!!!! WHATS THIS THE VETTE IS SLOWING DOWN..OH NO HE MELTED THE INTAKE WOW here comes the 300zx across the finish line he goes.... but hes not stoping WHY couse the cops are on to the race. trying their best to grab everone EVERONE BUT THAT ZZZZZ
