Im working on my z31 right now and when grounding my dash light wire, it continues to pop my clearance illumination fuse. I never had a problem with this before, when reading continuity on a multimeter i keep getting a 1 and voltage at KEY ON ENGINE OFF im getting 13.5 volts. Ive been running without dash lights for months now and was hoping to fix this issue. It only started after unplugging my hvac control unit. Does anybody have any answers on this?

 

Sounds like a broken wire grounding out.
