Re: White exhaust smoke
when does it smoke? after startup? after starting it after short drives? first thing in the morning? that's common.
otherwise, white smoke means water in the exhaust. Like kaide said, turbo seals or even head gasket.

Re: White exhaust smoke
no. if it was ignition, it would be black smoke. are you sure its white smoke and not blue? if it has a blue tint to it, its burning oil. if you are absolutely sure its white, then theres water getting into your combustion chamber.

got the same thing going on with me z. The exhaust smells heavily of gasoline. I also have an oil leak I'm guessing with my head gasket, but the white smoke definitely doesn't have a burnt oil smell to it. I'm thinking that I have multiple things wrong with mine though. Something to do with fuel not being all burnt up, oil leaking from head gasket, ect. Anyways, car still runs great! I just ran a thing of slick 50 fuel injector cleaner through it, and replaced the fuel filter and now it accelerates without lack of power whatsoever.

White smoke???
The white smoke could be the result of fading piston rings,
the stock rings do okay, for about 100k miles. After that you may experiance some smoke, but if you haven't lost any power I would not worry to much. The time to worry is if there is no power, as this could be the result of no compression/ the bad piston rings. You would notice as well A large amount of bluish/ white smoke(from the oil escaping past the rings into the combustion chamber).
