Up-Shifting thumping
Every time I shift from first to second, second to third, etc... the car makes a thumping noise in the rear. When I am also coasting and then tap the gas it makes the same thump noise. The thump can also be felt. I just had a new transmission and drive shaft put on the car. When I shift and slowly let out the clutch and slowly give it gas, then it doesn't do it. Does anyone know what this might be?

Bad about the mount... Good you found out what the thump is.
I'd still be looking at the bushings since you now have a project involving the rear-end of the car. Unless you think (or know) they've been replaced, it's 'bout time.
