TPS not working..no clue why..

I was checking things out under the hood the other day and saw that the tps plug was barely on. it was running fine with the exception of a slight high idle but when i completely disconnected the plug..the idle didnt fluctuate at all and it stayed the same and the prongs were oxidized...Is my TPS busted or is this normal??

Hi.

I don't know what the correct values are for your z31 but here's an article on testing a tps. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...6143607AANW39H One of the others here would probably be able to tell you more.

That would usually mean it wasn't reading it before. Clean it all up and see what happens.
