SHIRO Special Edition??

I was surfing the net and came across talk of a special edition Z31 called the "Shiro". Anyone know of this edition of the Z??? The info I found is below:

Production Quantity: 1000
In Janurary of 1988 Nissan Held "A White Sale." As part of that sales promotion, Nissan issued a special Limited Edition of the 300ZX Turbo SE Model - Called the Shiro Special Edition 300ZX Turbo SE. Refered to as the SS Edition, this car was painted in a special Pearl White paint (Shiro means White in Japanese). the Special Shiro Edition had the following as standard equipment:

No options; all are identical
- 1002 made between 1/88 and 3/88
- part of "Nissan White Sale"
- VG30ET engine
- 5spd. Overdrive Manual Transmission - Viscous LSD
- two-seater
- T-tops
- black interior
- cloth Recaro seats
- exclusive Pearl White paint (returned as a regular option for '89)
- exclusive white 16" wheels
- exclusive "European" air dam
- Analog dash
- AM/FM cassette
- non-adjustable suspension, very tight
- regular climate controls (sliders)
- priced $1000 over "normal" Turbo Z

I would love to find out more!!!

Shiro is the vanilla flavored z31 and it’s rare to see one. I haven’t seen one in ages. “Shiro” means “white” in Japanese.

It's also one of the lowest special editions Z cars. In fact of the 1000 available only 75 ended up here in Canada. I figured it would be a good car to look for for my collection since I don't have any more room. With only 75 in the entire country good luck finding whatever is left of the 75 we got.

^^^ Hum... funny. Qaanaaq-Liaaq had actually mentioned what "black" was in his original post before he edited it. Something like "kuroi".

1002 in the US. Reportedly (unconfirmed) 75 in Canada for a total of 1077 total in North America.

There was one for sale in Sedro-Woolley WA about an hour 1/2 away from you earlier this year... not sure who bought it but i thought about getting it, then it was gone.

I checked that car out, they wanted $7000 for it but it had high miles and was not worth it cosmetically. I offered them $4000
