i know you guys dont agree with cutting springs but i dont mind driving them cut i have a spring compressor now and if you guys could tell me how many coils (what i mean by coils is the swirls on each spring) to cut on the front because i dont want to cut it so short so the car wont even compress the spring or it will just pop out of the holding tray so please help me and is it possible to cut the back springs i noticed the springs taper on the top and the bottom so all i need to know is how many coils in the front and if its possible to cut the back ones i know you guys dont agree but please help thank you

First, it is almost impossible to predict how much your car will be lowered by cutting your spings. Due to the age and wear on them, it could vary.Second, you can ruin the temper of the steel. Cutting your springs can lead to more serious problems down the road. Just spend the $250 bucks or whatever and buy some aftermarket springs. You will be saving yourself a lot more in the long run.

if yoiure so confident that you are going to get in an accident regardless, why the hell would you increase your chances by cutting your springs. it WILL decrease your handling of the car.
