OK, so the Pacesetter headers are a PITA. Anyone have a recommendation for a set of headers for my '85 Z31? I also want to change the throttle body, and get rid of the air box. Also, what size exhaust pipe works best? 3"?

 

I would think that all headers would be about the same. But I haven't done them, so I don't know.

As far as the airbox, go with a nice K&N cone filter. You'll need some way of getting the filter connected to the rest of the intake. Most people buy a 5" section of 3" exhaust to clamp both sides to.

And for an NA, you really shouldn't go more than 2-1/2" exhaust unless you have lots of other mods to really bring the horsepower up. Any bigger, and you will have no low end power.
