got a 86 non turbo and its got a problem... when the car is sitting still on level ground the gage reads pressure but, when i give it some gas the pressure drops like poo from a bird. plz help!!!!

 

99.5% of the time it's the oil pressure sender. I have only seen two vg30e/et die from oil pump failure and that was at a 12k RPM downshift into first and the other one died from a broken gear when the crank snout snapped off at 8k RPM.

 

ya i dont drive her that hard...

 

Oh I beat the living the **** out of that poor car before I scrapped it.
