Maxima engine swap quality
Hey, someone is selling a z31 with a maxima engine, and I need a car pretty badly. The price is definitely right, but I'm wondering how well the maxima's engine performs in the Z. I can find out more about it if more info is needed.

Re: Options on the car
I can run the vin and tell you what options it was supposed to come with.
As for the maxima engine, it's the same one used in non-turbo z31's so it should be at least as realiable. my '86na has 235k on it and was running good when I pulled it out (gonna put a turbo engine in it's place )

Re: Options on the car
Spot, you sure get around...lol
Maxima intakes are different, as are the plenums. Probably both have been swapped out from the Z engine to the Max engine.
I know that I have an 87 maxima intake manifold here. THat model was rear wheel drive, so the engine was in straight. The upper holes are larger than on my 86 turbo Z. Lower ends look the same.
