Re: Just wanted y'all to know...
Wow, you really have taken care of that car. I like how its parked in a dusty area without any dust on the car. I wish I could get my car that nice, first I need to get it running better. Have you ever had a problem with the rear quarter panel molding coming out? Its happening on my car, and it seems no place down here in San Antonio will even touch it.
Really nice car, damn fine job on maintaining it. (Every ZX I see here has some sort of collision damage to it, except mine.)

Yea. I'm up here in Abilene, and all the Z's except one z31 and one z32 has damage. (Not including mine) Or I see someone that just is in to driving it fast. You know the ones. They drive it 'til the wheels fall off.

Re: Just wanted y'all to know...
Yeah, really the only nice Z I have seen was a Z32 twin turbo at some guy's house a few blocks away. I wanted to buy it there on the spot, but then I realized all my money went to my car. I have some scratches on my front end below my headlights, and the guy drilled two holes in the drivers side front quarter panel. I am hopefully going to replace those soon and repaint my car (Currently white.) I was thinking of a metallic blue or black, but a friend at work suggested pearl white. I think that would look nice, and I would love those side skirts AZ_Bum has with the turbo logo. First I would love to have my engine rebuilt, but I really don't know who to trust with my car. I won't even let my friends drive her.
Still can't get over AZ_Bum's car, I have to admit that is probably one of the best Z31's I have ever seen.
***Just found this 300ZX on E-Bay***

Both are nice.

Re: Just wanted y'all to know...
Thanks for the comments. The car is in pretty good shape. I took the pictures for the Z31 calander (see another post somewhere on here). I got up really early (well, 7 is early for me on a weekend) and spent a couple hours washing and waxing it. Then I drove up to the mountain where the pictures were taken. I only had to drive about 100 yards off the pavement, and I drove REALLY slow to not create dust. So it took forever. But it was well worth it I think.

Funny. I was just about to ask you how slow you drove. I looked at the tires and just knew that you had to damn near push it off the road just not to kick up dust. She is a beaut. When I'm done with mine and have her hooked up I hope to show her off as well as you do yours.

nice car A-ZBum!! i've got the same one!! (check out my pix on the 'rides' section. bone stock except for '88 model brakes and highmount brake light. under 100,000kms on the odometer, original owner. #20. No rust, still has all (but the center console's) plastic wrap over the woodtrim. Changed the tires though (those Pirelli's wore out after all these years) to Yokohama AVS-S4 (225/50/ZR16). I wish i had some Z car meets up in British Columbia...
PS. you're on the Z31.com boards rite?

I think there was just a Z meet up there. Well, I know there was another Z-Fest in Canada somewhere.
Yes, I'm on z31.com a lot. I also know there are a few Canadians up there. I THINK Zcar86 is in BC. And I know there is someone else close by him. Good luck with your car man. Keep it clean and keep it safe. I saw a very nice AE in a junk yard the other day. Only had 60k miles on it. Owner's daughter took it for a spin. She spun it right into a telephone pole. Very sad site. The whole rear of the car shifted. There was no way to fix it and keep it right. Appraised just a month earlier for $12k. Sad.

Beautiful! You have one mighty fine ride there. How did you come by the chromed wheels? I'm in love with my 87 Turbo but it needs paint badly plus a little body work thanks to a shot I took by some Malibu rental car (thank god he'd opted for the insurance!)
The wheels on my silver Z are the charcoal color that came with the Turbo scheme that year. They look like hell but I can't find anyone to plate them. How'd you do yours?

Re: Just wanted y'all to know...
Wheels are polished, not chromed. Cost was $120 for all 4 ($30 each). After they polished them, I painted the insets gloss black.
I've seen a set of 87+ NA wheels that have been polished. Very nice looking. Turbo rims should polish up just the same.
